As with any building that's 130 years old, the Church of St Mary the Virgin too has seen tremendous wear and tear and has been ravaged by floods, etc. and some sections have nearly collapsed. One of the key aims of the 130-year milestone celebrations is to repair parts that need immediate attention and possibly restore this magnificent heritage structure to its original glory. We have obtained the services of a renowned heritage architect for the same and it has been estimated that this repair and restoration exercise will cost us more than Rs 86 lakh.
Since this large amount is beyond the immediate means of the church, we would also request you to prayerfully consider donating what you can to restore this historic church. We are sure that you and your family will be blessed and some have been blessed in the past through St Mary's and would like this historic church to continue to bring glory to the LORD for generations more to come.
