Greetings to all in the name of Jesus.
We just celebrated the Pentecost and Trinity Sunday. Do we have a continuous contact with the 3rd Godhead, i.e. the Holy Spirit?
A man was attending a service. After an incident that took place during the meeting, he was asking these soul searching questions - “Do we feel that we have lost contact with the Holy Spirit? Have we strayed away from His help? Do we no longer know the presence of our Lord and Saviour? Have we neglected to attend church regularly? Do we simply forget our private devotion? Have we stopped being receptive to the guidance from above? Is our Bible a closed Book?”
When the ‘Power is off’ - ‘the Divine Power’, it is time for a prayer meeting.
It was a Sunday evening and the church service was going on smoothly. The congregation was singing a hymn and suddenly the lights went off. A man went inside the meter room to investigate and later came out and announced, “The Power’s off”. Responding to the situation the man in charge said, “Well, if the power is off, it is a good time to have a Prayer meeting!” This incident drew a spiritual lesson for many.
Yes, when we sense a spiritual coldness or an indifference to the things of the Lord, it is a pretty good indication that we need the joy of our salvation restored in our lives.
Are we in spiritual need today?
Let’s confess our sins, rededicate ourselves to doing God’s will and yield to the control of the Hold Spirit. Let us humble ourselves before God in prayer. It’s the best thing to do when “the Power is off”.
Prayer brings peace and power.
People of prayer are people of Power.
Experience is the great power of God.
Let the indwelling Spirit of God plead for you - Pray!
