Choir

Worship is derived from old English words meaning "worth-ship". Giving worth to something. At Church, there are various activities of worship – one of which involves song and music. It is this part of worship that the Choir is involved in. Psalm 100 beautifully states :

“Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth. Worship the LORD with gladness; come before him with joyful songs. Know that the LORD is God. It is he, who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture. Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. For the LORD is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.”

The Choir at St. Mary’s is still a work in progress. The group consists of around 15 people of all ages, the youngest being all of 12 years. The group has sung in three part and four part harmony, singing special songs for Christmas, Easter and Passion Week. The St. Mary’s Choir has also won accolades at various inter-church competitions through the years.

The Choir is still looking for enthusiastic believers who love music, love to sing and love to worship! Please sign up at any time. You are most welcome.
